I am really intrigued by the fact that it’s written in the future and yet manages to still be relatable. That’s the sign of a good book, in my opinion. This isn’t my normal genre of choice, but I might have to check it out. I’m always looking to expand my comfort zone a little when it comes to my reading. I used to have a bad habit of prejudging books and never giving anything a chance that didn’t fit the little box that I knew that I enjoyed. Thank you for sharing!

Sci-fi is my genre and while I am more of a hard sci-fi fan, I will devour almost anything on the subject. War Pigs sounds like an interesting book. The interview with the author is such a great way to complement the book review.

I really love the concept of this book. I’m a big sci-fi fan, so it’s right up my alley. What intrigues me is that it got you hooked even though you’re not really a sci-fi person. That’s a big endorsement.

Great review, Erica! War Pigs sounds like it has a really interesting storyline. Character development is really important to me when it comes to fiction, I need to feel like I know the characters and can picture them in my head. And how wonderful to be able to chat with the author and get a more personal look into the writing process!

At first, War Pigs sounds a little like a science fiction adaptation of ‘The Dirty Dozen’. I’m not a huge science fiction fan myself but it really says something that you enjoyed this when this is not your normal style of reading. Love that you managed to get comments to questions from the author. It does sound that he has achieved a lot and has a number of projects in the pipeline. I should pick up a copy of War Pigs since it is a stand alone book and find out more first-hand.

Sounds like a very interesting read! I like to explore different books, and I mean honestly you never know how a book will be until you dive in and start reading. Great review, and I really think it might be time that I go and explore some new books. And also what a great interview with the author as well.
