Mountain Man’s Mail Order Surprise is the latest short story to be checked off my to be read list. Which continues to grow at a faster pace than I can keep up with. I recently discovered Lilah Hart’s short romance stories, and I’m really enjoying them.

Reading her stories is also an excellent way to utilize my Kindle Unlimited subscription more often than I have in the past, which is a goal of mine. I pay for it month after month, but often forget it exists. Does anybody else do that? I’ve found the same with Audible at times. I ignore it and suddenly I have eleven credits I forgot existed.

These cozy short romance stories are a bit steamy, but they are also cute, fun, and entertaining. I’m always amazed when an author can develop characters in a short span like that, and it is impressive.

Our nosey innkeeper/matchmaker is at it again, except she skips the part where she tells the groom what is going on. He has no idea. He can’t even be bothered to show up on time, let alone be social and talkative. What does the bride to be do?

I loved this story. The bride, Bridget, is determined to start a new life, with or without Reilly. He’s not trying to talk her out of it, but instead giving her a place to stay and move forward with her life. Then suddenly, they fall in love.

It was a short, steamy, but fun romance story. I was so excited to see Bridget find love, but also find her life and identity as well. She was a very determined and strong woman, wanting to make a fresh start on her own, and I appreciated that.

Final Thoughts on Mountain Man’s Mail Order Surprise

I’m calling Mountain Man’s Mail Order Surprise a five star read. It was fun and simple, yet it sucked me in and kept me reading the entire thing all at once. Which says a lot, and something I’ve actually been missing in other books I’ve been reading this week.

If you are a fan of short, instant love stories, you will love Mountain Man’s Mail Order Surprise, and all of Lilah Hart’s stories.

This is the second one in this specific series, and I’m impatiently waiting for the rest to be released so I can read them as well. I hope you enjoy them as much as I am.
