Thoughts on Chance: A Novel
Chance is an exciting crime thriller that follows Sydney Jones in her life as an attorney when her boyfriend and bodyguard is accused of murder. Instead of going to trial, he is sent to work for the CIA and just disappears.
The book intertwines their two stories, as they go about separate lives. Sydney is working as an attorney, and her boyfriend is working for the CIA, and they can’t communicate with each other.
This book has a lot of plot twists that I didn’t see coming. I’m not going to spoil it for you, but it is definitely worth a read. It is really easy to follow and makes for a quick read.
Somehow when it comes to a series, I always get a hold of the second one and am hooked. Then I have to go back and read the first one. Have you ever had that happen, or is it just me? Because this is not the first time I’ve started a series with the second book.
This was the case here, and I am looking forward to reading Primed For Revenge. I am a huge fan of book series, but I appreciate when each book is good enough to stand alone at the same time. This could also become an excellent movie. I can easily see the potential there.
Final Thoughts on Chance: A Novel
There were several plot twists that I honestly did not see coming, and wasn’t prepared for. This makes for a thrilling read that I really wanted to continue and learn more and find out what happens next. I am a sucker for a great page-turner that has me wanting to know more.
There were times this book felt like being on a roller coaster ride, but in a great way. If you are looking for a great book that is easy to read and follow, yet exciting, this is the book for you!
I hope you enjoy Chance: A Novel as much as I did! It is one I definitely recommend.

I love books like this! Kinda makes me thing of John Grisham. The roller coaster kind. I wonder if it’s on audiobook. That’s how I do most of my reading these days. But then, it’s probably not a good book to fall asleep too I would be making myself stay awake just so I could find out what happens next!

I love a book or movie with a good plot twist. A book that keeps you on the edge of your seat right up to the very end where you find out the big reveal. Ok. Have to give Chance a read or maybe start at the beginning of the series.

sounds awesome! I like crime books and the idea of several separate lines is always appealing to me. It might be harder to follow if you don’t have much time for reading but if you do, it’s perfect!
