Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl

Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl is the latest short story from author Lilah Hart to be checked off my to be read list. I first discovered Lilah Hart and her short stories when I read the Wildwood Valley Brides series. This prompted me to start reading more of her stories.

All of her stories can be read in about an hour, and are instant-love romance. Given that I’ve been reading darker stories lately, these are the perfect happily ever after stories that let me have a break from darker full novels.

Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl is book one in a six part series called Wildwood Valley Harvest, but it can be read as a standalone, and all stories can be read in any order you choose.

At the time of this review, all of Lilah Hart’s short stories can be found and borrowed via Kindle Unlimited, which is an excellent way to utilize that subscription, and something I’ve been trying to do more of, since I already pay for it.

With fall being right around the corner, I thought this was the perfect series to read, to help celebrate my favorite time of the year. Fall always means hoodies, football, and soup. Not to mention reading more of my favorite books and short stories while curled up on the couch with a favorite blanket and listening to the rain.

With my favorite college football team playing their opening game in just a few days, I knew it was time to break out the pumpkin pie spice to go with my fall book choices, and celebrate the changing seasons.

Thoughts on Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl

In Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl we meet Sienna and Blade.

Sienna is a whole ball of positive energy and happy vibes. She knows how to use sarcasm to cover embarrassment, so she is funny as well. I found myself laughing more than once when I first started reading this story. Blade is all kinds of grumpy and anti-social. Yet he also does have feelings.

I especially loved the part in the middle, in the break tent at the farmer’s market, when they had a serious heart to heart discussion. It was so sweet, honest, and real.

The ending was also very real, and genuine. Sometimes it can be hard to convey real thoughts and emotions in a book. Especially when you have a character who is excessively positive and happy. But the tone came through perfectly here, and I loved it. I’ve been working on my own mindset, and ending negative thinking, so I can totally relate to the fact Sienna was so happy in that present moment.

This was the kind of happily ever after that I wanted and needed. The last book I read bored me to tears, and I needed something to keep me wanting to read, and this was absolutely that. Because of this, I’m really excited about the rest of the series and to see if I enjoy them as well. Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl set my expectations high.

I’m calling Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl a 5 star read. It was fun, I enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series. This was a great introduction to the Wildwood Valley Harvest series.

Mountain Man’s Flirty Farmgirl is the third series from author Lilah Hart that I’ve read, along with several standalone stories. I have always wondered, with the sheer volume of short stories that she has published, could she keep things interesting? How can she write a new instant-love story without it being the same as all the others?

I’ve also often wondered if I would get bored with her writing, and I certainly haven’t yet. I’m actually impressed with the way Lilah Hart keeps her stories fresh and interesting.
