The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue

The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue

The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue is the latest short story to be checked off my to be read list. I recently discovered Tiffany Bloom when I read her Granitehart Ridge Retreat series.

I quickly became a fan of her short stories, which can be read in about an hour. These stories are all about the instant-love, happily ever after ending. They are perfect to read when you don’t have a ton of time, or as a break from heavier novels.

I also really appreciate short stories like this, that are a break from the thrillers, mysteries, and dark romance novels that I’ve been reading. If you need a break as well, check out my short story category to find some amazing options. Because these are what keep me reading, and away from falling into a reading slump.

At the time I’m publishing this review, all of her stories are available via Kindle Unlimited, which is a perfect way for me to utilize my subscription more often than I have been lately. Why not use something I’m already paying for?

Tiffany Bloom is a pretty new author, with just one short story series under her belt before this one, but I’ve been watching her writing continuously improving with every story, and I’m so excited about it. It’s fun to discover new authors when they first start, and watch them grow over time. I’ve been hoping she would write another series, so I could start reading it, and my wish came true.

About Granitehart Ridge Fireline

Granitehart Ridge Fireline

Four mountain men, all former firefighters turned search and rescue. One vow: protect what’s theirs.

Welcome to Granitehart Ridge, where the wild is untamed, and the men are even more so.

Each steamy, emotionally charged romance in this novella series features a rugged, cinnamon-roll alpha who falls hard for the one curvy woman who needs him most.

They may be scarred, silent, and trained to walk through fire, but for her, they soften.
For her, they burn.

These possessive protector romances deliver:

❤️ Found Family Brotherhood
❤️ Touch Her and Die Energy
❤️ Forced Proximity + Only One Bed
❤️ Cinnamon-Roll Alpha Heroes
❤️ Wounded Heroines Who Finally Feel Safe
❤️ Dirty Talk, Body Worship, and Gentle Aftercare
❤️ No Cheating. No Cliffhangers. Always an HEA.

If you love primal devotion, grumpy-but-tender mountain men, and the kind of forever love that heals old wounds, this series is for you.

Short enough to binge. Deep enough to stay with you.

Once he claims you, you’re his. Completely.

About The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue

I found her half-buried in the mud, cold and trembling. When her eyes met mine, something ancient cracked open in my chest. I wasn’t just rescuing her. I was claiming her.

Caleb

I ran into burning buildings for a living. Saved some. Lost others. Left pieces of myself in the ones I couldn’t reach.

But after the last mission broke something I couldn’t fix, I walked off the grid and built a cabin nobody could find.

Then I found her.

Half-buried on the trail, drenched and freezing, wearing curves like armor and fire behind her smart mouth.

I didn’t ask why she was running. I just picked her up and carried her home.

She rests easy now, wrapped in my flannel and the medal they gave me for saving lives before I stopped believing I could.

All I can think about is carving her name into the place I sleep so she knows this isn’t temporary.

She says she doesn’t belong anywhere. But she belongs here. With me.

Ivy

I was just trying to survive the drive. A music career in ashes, a reputation shattered, no place left to call home.

Then the mountain swallowed the road, and he pulled me out.

Caleb is everything I never knew I needed. Scarred, silent, built like the forest itself. He speaks with his hands and protects like it’s in his blood.

The cabin is remote. The storm is relentless.

I can’t stop thinking about the way he touches me, like my body was made to rest in his hands.

Maybe I came here to disappear.

But I think I just found the one man who sees everything I am, and loves me for it.

Thoughts on The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue

In The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue we meet Caleb and Ivy. They are both running from their past. Caleb tries to isolate himself from everyone and everything. Ivy just continues to run every time something or someone spooks her.

I’m not even going to lie. I did not expect to enjoy this short story. It had a dark tone to it, compared to Tiffany Bloom’s previous stories. It definitely didn’t feel like I was going to get the happily ever after she promises in her stories.

The vibe and tone took some time to suck me in. Which is because I identified with Ivy so, so very much. I have spent more years than not trying to fit into the mold I was expected to, instead of simply showing up as myself and allowing that to be enough. Damn, this one was a hard read, to be honest.

But over the last couple of years, I’ve really learned how to grow into the woman I was meant to be, and knowing I am accepted by those around me as just that.

I ended up loving this story. It broke me all over again, and then healed me a little bit more by the end, and I was not remotely prepared for that to happen. This is a rare occurrence in books and stories that I read.

Final Thoughts on The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue

I’m calling The Mountain Man’s Fierce Rescue a five star read. At chapter two, I would have said it was a one star read. But that is the beauty of story building, it just gets better along the way. Sometimes I think I’m impatient, demanding the perfect story from the start, and wanting to see the entire picture. I get ahead of myself at times, and patience has never been one of my strongest personality traits.

I highly recommend you read this story, especially if you’re someone like me, and like Ivy. If you’ve struggled to fit into the mold others expect you to, and it has broken you. You may very well find the strength you need in this story. Or at least to know that you’re not alone, and someone else understands the struggle.

I didn’t realize that I actually needed to read this story. Normally I just read for fun and entertainment. It really is rare that a book or story hits this hard and sticks with me long after I’ve walked away from it and read other stories. But this one will stick with me for a long time.

About the Author

Tiffany Bloom writes swoon-worthy short instalove romances featuring strong men who give their curvy women the perfect Happily Ever After every time. She lives with her husband and dog in Virginia. When she’s not writing, you may find her taking long walks, trying new recipes, reading, and living her own HEA.

What to Expect from My Stories

My stories bring the heat and the heart. The spice is open-door and full of feeling. Every kiss, every touch, every stolen breath is about connection. Instant. Electric. The kind that knocks you off balance and doesn’t let you go.

I write men who fall fast and love hard: protective, obsessed, and all in from the moment they meet her. And my heroines? They’re smart, flawed, funny, and real. She’s not perfect, but he sees everything she is and walls all of her anyway.

My books are quick escapes, steamy, emotional, and a little addictive. If you’re into instalove, intense connection, and heroes who worship their women, you’re in the right place.
