Wrong Number Right Firefighter
Wrong Number Right Firefighter is the latest short story to be checked off my to be read list. I’ve mentioned previously that it is a goal of mine to read all of Lilah Hart’s short stories, and I’ve been working my way through the list. Which is no easy feat, as it is a long list. But I’m enjoying doing it.
Reading short stories in between longer and heavier novels is the perfect break that I need at times. It prevents me from falling into a reading slump and gives me the happily ever after that I crave. I find this especially true after reading darker romance novels.

This is a standalone story from Lilah Hart, but part of a bigger twelve story series from multiple authors. It can be read either way, as part of the series, or as a standalone story. In my case, I’m choosing to read it as a standalone because I want to focus on Lilah Hart stories at the moment. How you read it is certainly up to you, so whatever you want, go for it!
No matter which way you choose to read it, these stories are available via Kindle Unlimited. Which is exactly how I originally discovered Lilah Hart. I made it a point to use my Kindle Unlimited subscription more, and searched for romance stories that can be read in less than an hour.

About Wrong Number Right Firefighter
She called in a pizza. She got a firefighter with a chip on his shoulder and a body built for sin.
I thought I was calling the pizza place.
Instead, I accidentally rang the local fire hall.
Next thing I know, a grumpy firefighter named Scoop is standing in my rental cabin, staring at me half-asleep on the sofa like he’s the one who got called in for an emergency.
Not exactly what I meant to order, but I’m definitely not sending him back.
One wrong number, one unexpected drop-in, and suddenly my quiet little getaway is getting a whole lot hotter.
They say you can’t plan for love.
Apparently, you can’t plan your pizza either.
Thoughts on Wrong Number Right Firefighter
In this story, we meet Camille and Scoop. Camille is a bit intoxicated one night and calls for a pizza delivery. Something we’ve all done in the past a time or two. Except instead of calling a pizza parlor, she calls the fire department and gets Scoop. I love the premise of calling for pizza and getting a hot firefighter instead. This is every fantasy come true.
Camille is relatable when she mentioned religious and strict parents and wanting to finally make her own choices, good or bad. On the flip side, Scoop is borning, bland, and forgettable, past being a hot firefighter. I wish he had a better and more interesting backstory. That was left out here.
This story is more about the fantasy and the sex/spice/smut/whatever you want to call it, than it is about a plot and characters with a good backstory. Which I have to admit that when we’re talking about firefighters, I’m okay with that.
Final Thoughts on Wrong Number Right Firefighter
I’m calling Wrong Number Right Firefighter a four star read. It was fun, steamy, and a good read. It kept me entertained for an hour, while sparking my imagination into overdrive, which was kind of fun for me. It certainly made a boring Sunday that much more interesting.
I still wish there was more character development and backstory for both of our main characters. Although I;m not sure it was important in this specific story. But it is part of how I judge stories and rate them.
I definitely recommend that you read Wrong Number Right Firefighter. You won’t be disappointed.
At the time I’m publishing this review, I have not read any other stories in this series. It is part of a multi-author series, but can also be read as a standalone story. It is totally up to you how you read it! If you are like me and a big Lilah Hart fan, you can read just this story from her. Or, you can read the other stories and be introduced to other authors you may not be familiar with. I love when you can sort of choose your own adventure with reading in that way.
At some point in the future, I will likely go back and read the other stories from other authors in this series, just to give them a try and be introduced to their writing.
I find short stories like this perfect when I’m not quite ready to dive into a full novel. I had to puppy-sit for a friend when I was reading this, and it was perfect because the short chapters meant I wasn’t being interrupted when I wanted to focus and get lost in my reading. It also meant that I was done by the time my friend came back home from the errands they were out doing.
