“The river of life gives and takes throughout time. We all stand by her shore to receive one more miracle as the waves pass by.”
Ann Marie Ruby, Eternally Beloved
If you have read my blog for any length of time, then you know that Ann Marie’s books are a staple in my collection of much-loved novels. I’ve reviewed The Netherlands: Land of My Dreams, The World Hate Crisis, and Spiritual Songs II. The second book in this series is Evermore Beloved.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I am always excited when I find an author where I enjoy everything I read from them. Because it makes me want to keep reading their writing until I’ve read everything at least once. Ann Marie Ruby’s books are like that for me.
I can count three authors that are rapidly becoming regulars in my blog. Who are your favorite authors like that?
About Eternally Beloved
Travel time to a timeless era gone by, where a passionate lover, Jacobus van Vrederic, fights destiny to keep his promissory vows. Journey with him during the sixteenth century through the Netherlands, when passion, love, and hidden secrets change his life forever.
As he travels through a war-ravaged country fighting for her freedom, will Jacobus be able to fight destiny and time to find the vanished love of his life, or will time be a barrier?
The saga of Kasteel Vrederic and Jacobus van Vrederic begins in Eternally Beloved. This book will introduce you to the rest of the Kasteel Vrederic series which takes a paranormal twist in the next book, Evermore Beloved.
Eternally Beloved is a tearjerker, heartwarming, and everlasting historical romance fiction, you too will want to be a part of! This is such a book, for when you come to the end and close the pages, you will still live within the land of Eternally Beloved as you shall never let it go.
Thoughts on Eternally Beloved
Eternally Beloved: I Shall Never Let You Go is the first in a five part series from author Ann Marie Ruby. It is essentially the introduction to the Kasteel Rederic series.
“Life is a miracle. Take it as you go, and magical things will happen when you expect them the least.”
Ann Marie Ruby, Eternally Beloved
Eternally Beloved is a short novel, at just 123 pages. I finished it in one sitting because I found myself drawn into it and simply couldn’t stop reading it. This was a book that hooked me from the very beginning and intrigued me because of the history.
This is a story not just about love, but of learning, change, and personal growth. Lessons that come with a price, which is greatly discussed in Eternally Beloved.
This is a book that reminds me to always say I love you to the people I care about, as tomorrow is never promised. A lesson I’ve been ignoring in one specific relationship lately, because it hasn’t been the greatest. I need to change that immediately.
Character Development
I was beyond impressed with the character development in Eternally Beloved. This is a story that I am so thrilled about being a series, because I found myself wanting to read more!
I often found myself relating to the main character, Jacobus van Vrederic, in that he made mistakes by not standing up for what was right, or showing emotions. I loved watching his personal growth toward the end.
Final Thoughts on Eternally Beloved
Eternally Beloved from author Ann Marie Ruby is a wonderful start to this series, and I am seriously looking forward to reading the rest. It is very clear Ann Marie put her heart and soul into this series, and I can feel it as I’m reading.
“Life ends as the last breath is taken, yet a lover’s memory keeps the beloved alive even within a coffin.”
Ann Marie Ruby, Eternally Beloved
Be aware that this one is a tear jerker. I found myself shedding a few tears more than once as I read it, and I’m not normally one who cries at novels or movies. Usually I wonder why other people do. But this one definitely had me. A big part of that is the love and care Ann Marie put into writing this series.
Eternally Beloved is absolutely worth reading! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
